Run `dosrun C:/LIFE2.EXE`; advance the two instruction pages; use PS/2 keys
M and arrows to draw a 2x2 live pattern; press R. The runner receives raw PS/2
keyboard events through `/dev/kbd`, maps arrows to DOS extended-key pairs and
BIOS scan codes, and remains responsive to serial input. The program entered
RUN mode and continued drawing without an instruction or port fault. The
screen shows the pattern in EDIT and RUN modes:

- [2x2 pattern in EDIT mode](2026-10-23-life2-ps2-edit.png)
- [pattern in RUN mode](2026-10-23-life2-ps2-run.png)

This confirms keyboard navigation and RUN startup. A deterministic generation
transition was not established in this bounded visual check; retain Partial
status until a blinker or other changing pattern is verified reproducibly.
